AES Mong Duong Pickleball Tournament 2025
On 18 December, AES Vietnam Family Day 2021, with the theme ‘Together, we are happier’, was organized in a virtual format with the participation of all of the company’s leaders, members of staff and their families. As an important event for AES Vietnam each year, Family Day is a chance for us to thank our family members for their great support and show how important and meaningful families are in our lives.
First Prize of the painting contest – Nguyen Pham Thao Nguyen, 7 years old
This year is the second year AES Vietnam has celebrated Family Day virtually. A month before the actual event, various meaningful activities were organized to highlight the strong bonds and connections we share with our families. These activities included painting, video competitions and writing contests on the theme of family. A webinar series by professional speakers and psychologists, including the topics of ‘Wise Parent’, ‘Positive Energy” and ‘Wise brain for Teenagers’, were also organized and well attended by both parents and children.
Mr. David Stone, President of AES Vietnam, said, “This year, as we are working at a time of unparalleled disruption and change bought about by Covid-19. During the year and between lockdowns many families have had relatives staying at the plant for weeks and even months. I would like to express my appreciation to the families who have supported our AES people in all the work we do. Your support has enabled us to rise to the challenges during the year and continue our dedicated work to honor our commitments of providing safe and reliable energy to the Government of Vietnam.”

Family Day is also a fantastic opportunity for our family members to learn more about AES and our Values through a variety of activities. The theme for Family Day this year, ‘Together, we are happier’, closely connects with the AES Value ‘All Together’. At AES, we are united in our mission and purpose – accelerating the future of energy, together, and we remain united and strong because our families are always with us.
Second Prize of the painting contest – Pham Phuong Nhung, 11 years old
In 2021, Mong Duong 2 plant continues to demonstrate a drive for continuous improvement of reliability. By November 2021, the plant generated 7.1 billion kWh, continuing to exceed our generation target set by the Ministry of Trade and Industry by 8%. Annual outages for both Units were completed safely, below budget and on time. AES Mong Duong has also recently been named among the top 100 most sustainable companies in Vietnam by the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development, under VCCI.

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all of our employees for their contributions and also express my appreciation to their families for supporting them and helping them meet our commitments,” said Mr. David Stone.
