AES Vietnam President Meets with EVN Leadership to Advance Strategic Energy Projects

One of many community engagement activities of AES Mong Duong Power Co. Ltd. (BOT Company) is to coordinate with local government and community to improve the information regarding operation of the Mong Duong 2 BOT Power Plant. On 7 January 2016, upon request of Mong Duong People’s Councils, the Power Plant has been pleased to welcome a delegation from Mong Duong, Cam Pha and Quang Ninh People’s Councils to visit the Power Plant. The delegation includes leaders of the Communist Party, People’s Council and leaders of the local Association and authorities; Mong Duong Health Center; Principal of the school in the ward, the Secretaries, Chief of Father Land Front of 13 neighborhoods.
At the meeting, the Leader of the Power Plant and functional departments have shared information on the operating procedures of the plant and technical equipment, environmental protection as well as community support activities implemented by the BOT Company over the years. The delegation visited the Power Plant facilities to better understand the process of operation and management of a large-capacity power plants with modern equipment and safety standards of world-class thermal power plant as Mong Duong 2. This is also the opportunity to acquire comments as well as answer questions from participants concerning the operation of the plant in the ward. The visit was conducted in a dedicated atmosphere but very open.

In January 12, 2016, the Power Plant had received a letter of appreciation from the Mong Duong People’s Council for the enthusiastic reception of the plant leadership; the delegation expressed satisfaction with the meeting and site visit. In the letter, Leader of Mong Duong ward authorities also sent New Year greetings to all staffs of AES Mong Duong Power Co. Ltd and wishes safe production and development.
