Tet Celebrations: AES Vietnam Supports Disadvantaged Communities in Quang Ninh and Binh Thuan Province
Mong Duong, 9 March 2016 – In an effort to ensure continuous communication and enhancing support between MD2 Project and the local government and community during the operation phase as well as discussing and receiving comments from the local community, the BOT Company has organized Quarter 1 Public Consultation Meeting on the 9 March 2016. In the Meeting, BOT company has update the progress and operations of the MD2 Project, information on CSR Program implemented in Mong Duong ward in 2015 and projected plan for 2016 and Status of compliance on Environmental protection activities.
In addition to the Quarterly Public Consultation Meeting, the BOT Company has cooperated with Job Placement Center of Quang Ninh Province to organize a special session where information on job opportunity and vocational trainings was presented to the AP2 Affected people on 10 March 2016. The BOT Company always pays special attention in creating more employment opportunity for affected people at the BOT Company as well as at its contractors. Currently, there are 26 members from 15 affected households working for BOT Company and our contractors ADEN, PSS and NIC.
