AES Mong Duong Pickleball Tournament 2025
Sustainable development cannot be achieved without gender equality. Women’s empowerment is a key factor for achieving sustainable economic growth, social development and environmental sustainability. For the past several years, AES-VCM has many programs to develop and empower women inside the Company as well as the neighboring society such as Women Day Celebration, First Aid Training, Home Economic Training Course, Donation of seeding trees for Model Garden, propaganda to reduce plastic waste, etc.
In that spirit and upon request of Mong Duong Women Union, the Company organized a field-trip for 50 representatives of Mong Duong Women Union to visit and learn about Mong Duong 2 BOT Power Plant operation and environment protection activities.
During the field-trip, the local women had chance to better understand the process of operation and management of a large-scale power plant, the world-class safety standards as well as the Company’s efforts to keep all environmental effects to the minimum. The visit is an opportunity to enable local women to expand their knowledge about industrial production.
In the other engagement with local organizations including women union, AES-VCM handed out 200 durable baskets to encourage the change in daily behavior. With this basket, local women can actively reduce the use of plastic bag, reduce the waste to the environment, make contribution to environment protection and improve living condition.
