US Ambassador to Vietnam, Daniel J. Kritenbrink, and Amcham Hanoi Chairwoman, Natasha Ansell presented the 2017 Amcham CSR Award to AES Mong Duong
On 11 December 2012, American Chamber of Commerce presented Amcham CSR Recognition Award to AES Mong Duong Power Co. Ltd. This is a great recognition for AES Mong Duong commitment to transparent, effective and sustainable business management and especially to local community development investment programs in 2017.
AmCham’s Corporate Social Responsibility Recognition Award Program is designed to raise awareness of CSR among AmCham members and the community, and to provide recognition to firms with best practice CSR programs in Vietnam. The program is only open to AmCham members. To qualify for AmCham’s CSR Recognition Award, a member company’s CSR program must receive high marks in four separate categories: (1) Attention to business objectives and societal needs; (2) Creation of long-term economic and social gains; (3) Communication and sharing of best practices; (4) Program sustainability.
The awards were presented to winner by US Ambassador to Vietnam, Daniel J. Kritenbrink, and Amcham Hanoi Chairwoman, Natasha Ansell. There were 26 companies received the award this year.
At the same event, Mr. David Stone, Managing Director of AES Mong Duong was re-elected as a member of Amcham Board of Governors for 2018 for his contribution during 2017.
