AES Mong Duong supports the local community with Environment Education and Integrated Waste Management project on Values Day 2024
Quang Ninh, 31 October 2015 – AES Mong Duong Power Company Limited (AES Mong Duong) official celebration of 2015 Values Day was organized in combination with a CSR Program, under which we brought about 30 specialized doctors, technicians and nurses in the dental and ophthalmology areas to the school for eye and tooth examination for the students of Nguyen Trai Primary school, a local public school neighborhood to the power plant with more than 800 students from grade 1 to 5. The program also provided the kids with basic tools and hard copy drawing guideline on eye and tooth protection. During the program, AES people actively joined the professional team to delivered consultancy and propagation on eye and tooth protection.
Opening the Event, Mr. David Stones, Managing Director, has shared with all event’s participants, including local authorities, school teachers and students, professional medical team and local parents about AES Values including: 1 – Put Safety First, 2 – Act With Integrity, 3 – Honor Commitments, 4 – Strive For Excellence, 5 – Have Fun Through Work. This message was well-received by the audience.
According to AES tradition, in annual celebration of Values Day, AES employees worldwide were nominated for consideration for Values Day Awards. They are those whose attitudes and actions outstandingly exemplify one or more of the five (05) AES Values. This year Values Day Award winner, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong, gave a meaningful speech touching heart of many attendants. “I gradually realized that the achievement of any individual not only reflects that individual’s effort but also reflects the effort of the whole team. Today on this occasion, I want to say thank you to all of you who have built a big family here in AES. In this family, all family members have encouraged my strength, helped me improve my weakness and given me chance to develop.”
The kids were very much interested in the interaction with AES people. The program has set fundamental stones and its outputs are expected to orient creative ideas for further similar CSR activities in educational and medical areas to the local kids.
