AES Mong Duong supports the local community with Environment Education and Integrated Waste Management project on Values Day 2024
On 27 October 2020, AES Values Day 2020 was organized in a virtual format with the participation of all AES Mong Duong leaders and staffs. This year, with the theme ‘We Live Our Values’, the event honored the AES Values – ‘Safety First’, ‘Highest Standards’ and ‘All Together’ – which are the foundation for AES’ business around the world and in Vietnam.
A number of activities were organized before the actual event and appreciated by our people, including visual communications and quizzes. The quiz focused on topics including ethical dilemmas, the AES Helpline, how to interact with our stakeholders and the one company mindset, which all help AES staffs gain a better understanding on how we live our Values at AES every day.

They shape our way of thinking and operating while constantly striving for excellence in applying the Highest Standards that are paving our way to accelerating the energy of the future together. Driven by our Values, we are looking for innovative ways to bring the energy sector in our markets to a new level. All Together, putting Safety First, we are improving the lives of the societies we serve,” said Mr. David Stone, the CEO of AES Mong Duong.
Another important element of the event was the Values Day Award, which recognizes a single outstanding member of AES Mong Duong who has strongly exemplified the AES Values during his/her work at AES in 2020. This year, the award was presented to Ms. Vu Thi Thuy Ha, EHS Coordinator.
“It was such a nice surprise for me. I am delighted and truly happy. I would like to thank my colleagues and the management team for their great support in this recognition. I believe this recognition is not only for me, but for all of us, for what we have been doing together. Living our AES Values, we are making AES Vietnam stronger and stronger, better and better each and every day,” said Ms. Vu Thi Thuy Ha, EHS Coordinator, AES Mong Duong.
On Values Day 2020, the company also produced a short video clip about how we have been proactively translating our Values into CSR activities. AES Values have also enabled us to build trust and commitment with our local stakeholders.
As we move forward, at AES Mong Duong we are committed to work further to promote AES Values in both our business, providing much needed electricity to Vietnam, and in our social mandate to the local communities in which we operate.
