Mong Duong, 20 April 2017 – One of AES Mong Duong’s CSR main themes is education where one third of our CSR activities is aiming toward local schools and students. In that spirit and upon request of Mong Duong Secondary School, the Company organized a field-trip for 61 outstanding students to visit and learn about Mong Duong 2 BOT Power Plant
During the field-trip, the students had chance to better understand the process of operation and management of a large-scale power plant, theworld-class safety standards as well as the Company’s efforts to keep all environmental effects to the minimum.
After the trip, the Company has received a letter of appreciation from the Mong Duong Secondary School Principle for the enthusiastic reception. In the letter, she noted “We are highly satisfied with all of Company’s CSR supports to the local community. It’s a valuable culture that not every company can implement. The local people of Mong Duong, Cong Hoa and Cam Hai fully appreciate the Company’s efforts.” She also believed that the field-trip had gave the students big encouragement to accelerate in their study in order to be able to work for AES Mong Duong in the future.
