As one of the large and modern BOT Coal-Fired Power projects in Vietnam, Mong Duong II Coal-Fired Power Plant (AES Mong Duong Power Company Limited) has made many contributions to the national grid, especially when Vietnam’s energy supply is shortage.
According to the plan assigned by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in 2020, the plant will produce nearly 8.7 billion kWh of electricity (increasing nearly 1 billion kWh of electricity compared to 2019). To ensure the plan, from January to now, 2 units of the Plant are operating at full capacity. By the end of the first quarter of 2020, the plant has produced 2.5 billion kWh (8% higher than planned).
The number of employees in the plant is currently about 200, the number of employees of contractors is 150. These includes many foreign experts and workers from other localities throughout the country.
