Mong Duong, 25 February 2016 – Mong Duong 2 BOT Power Plant received a delegation from Power Transmission Company 1 (PTC 1), a member of State-Owned National Power Transmission Corporation (NPT) – a subsidiary of Vietnam Electricity. PTC 1 is responsible for power transmission in 27 Cities and Provinces in the North of Vietnam.
Acknowledged the world class operating system of Mong Duong 2 BOT Power Plant, PTC1 has requested for a site visit for a team of engineers to learn more about the operating system of the Power Plant, especially firefighting and prevention system and computerized system. PTC1 are also expected to learn about the safety management procedure of the Power Plant. The delegation included Mr. Pham Thanh Tung, Deputy Manager of Safety Department; Mr. Do Cong To, Deputy Manager of IT Department; and technical team from Safety, IT and Technical Departments.
The workshop was hosted by EHS Division of the Power Plant to go over all requested topic from the delegation. “We are more than happy to be able to share the knowledge and experiences with the local experts such as those from PTC1” said Mr. Fernando Mendez Cea, AES Mong Duong EHS Director.
The delegation has expressed their appreciation and sincere thanks to the management and all divisions from AES Mong Duong for supporting the workshop. This workshop has enhanced the good on-going relationship between AES Mong Duong, EVN and its subsidiaries.
Since our commercial operation in April 2015, the power grid managed by NPT has brought the electricity produced by Mong Duong 2 BOT Power Plant to millions of households all over Vietnam. Since the date of synchronization, both units have contributed more than 6 billion kWh of electricity to the national grid. The plant is expected to add significantly to the national power grid with more than 7.6 billion kWh of electricity annually. This successful operation will not be done without the close cooperation between AES-Mong Duong, EVN and its subsidiaries, especially PTC1 who 1 is responsible for power transmission in 27 Cities and Provinces in the North of Vietnam.
