AES Mong Duong Pickleball Tournament 2025
Quang Ninh, 3November 2017 –AES Mong Duong Power Company Limited celebrated2017 Values Day with neighboring communities of Cong Hoa Commune, Quang Ninh province.
On this special occasion, the Company handed over a sport and cultural playground, constructed and equipped by the corporate resources, with total value of USD 13,000 to Cong Hoa authorities and community. This very first outdoor playground and cultural venue together with other social investment projects at Cong Hoa are decent contribution of the Company to the progressive New Rural Development Plan of Cong Hoa Commune.
The Values Day Celebration was held in the presence of Mr. Pham Van Kinh, Vice chairman of Cam Pha People’s Committee, Mr. Ha Van Cong, Chairman of Cong Hoa People Committee, Mr. Kevin Pierce, Plant Manager, the teachers, students of Cong Hoa Secondary School and AES people where Mr. Kevin Pierce shared the company values that guide every action, provide common framework for how AES people conduct business with partners, suppliers and serve customers and communities around the worldA new Value of Agility was introduced to all internal and external stakeholders presented at the event.
The 2017 Values Day Award was granted to Mr. Nguyen Duy Quang, I&C Engineer of Mong Duong II Power Plant. Mr. Quang was not only a Values Day Award winner but also won the Safety Champion of the Year Award during Safety Day Celebration. Shared with us during his winning speech, he said “The Award was a dream for me for years not because of the cash prize but. It was the 5 Values of: SAFETY, INTEGRITY, AGILITY, FUN and EXELLENCE that encouraged and motivate me to strive better every day.”
After the ribbon-cutting inauguration, AES people and students of local Secondary School painted the fence of the playground and join other collective activities to promote the new Values of AES: Agility.
This year, the Company leadership also decided to expand the Celebration by organizing an Employees Voluntary Tree Planting event on the day before the Values Day, where AES people together bring one of AES Vietnam top priorities, Environment Protection and Conservation, into action. There were 120 fruit trees planted at the event as part of a Tree Planting initiative launched by the Company earlier this year. Up to date, the Company had planted almost 16,000 trees in the region and will continue to plant more.
