Hanoi, 8November 2016 – AES Mong Duong was honored to be ranked in the Top 10 in production sector among 100 most sustainable Vietnamese companies in 2016.
The “Honoring the most sustainable companies in Vietnam 2016” is the first ever program on benchmarking and ranking the most sustainable companies in Vietnam. The Recognition Ceremony was held by the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD) in collaboration with Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Nat
ural Resources and Environment, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the State Security Committee in 8 November 2016.
The rankingprocess was evaluated by Sustainability Index (CSI) comprising 151 highly quantitative criteria established by experts in economy, society, labor, environment fields. The CSI reflects reputation, brands of businesses, their capacities in attracting human resource, operation process, development potentials in the future as well as their social responsibilities and environmental responsibilities.
AES Mong Duong Certificate of Top 10 Sustainable Business in Production sector
Together with the launching of AES Mong Duong first Sustainability Report, this recognition marked the effort of AES-Mong Duong aiming toward a long-term business strategy in Vietnam market. Safe and successful construction of Mong Duong 2 power project is the core of the AES Mong Duong story in the Sustainability Reportof 2015 and the story will continue to evolve in the coming years as the company strive to be the best operational power plant within Vietnam while living our values in a sustainable way.
