Hanoi, April 2024 – AES Vietnam has been honored with the esteemed Golden Dragon Award 2024 for its outstanding contributions to Vietnam’s sustainable economic development. The award, which recognizes Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) companies that demonstrate outstanding business results alongside a deep commitment to sustainable development in a rapidly evolving Vietnam, was presented at Vietnam Connected Forum held in Hai Phong province on April 10 in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and top government officials.
This year’s theme, “Vietnam Pathways to Green & Sustainable Economy,” highlights the importance of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria, which AES Vietnam has consistently integrated into its business model. The company’s innovative approach to energy solutions has set a high standard for the industry, aligning with the government’s policies to promote a sustainable economy.
During the event, Mr. Joseph Uddo, President of AES Vietnam and Chairman of AmCham Vietnam, spoke on the panel. He emphasized the importance of exploring viable short-term and long-term solutions for Vietnam to meet its energy security needs.
