Mong Duong, 20-22March 2017–Stakeholder Management Team of AES Mong Duong hasconducted 3 Quarterly meetings with representatives of local authorities and communities of Mong Duong, Cong Hoa and Cam Hai at their People’s Committee office.
Embedded in the Stakeholder Engagement Plan, quarterly meetings with local authorities and representative ofcommunitieswere scheduled to get an overview and better understanding on socio-economic condition of the communities; to provide project information and gain feedback from communities relevant to project development and communities concerns;. At the meetings, the team has updated the progress and operations of the Mong Duong 2 Power Plant, sharedCSR projects that were implemented at local community in 2016 and projected plan for 2017. Furthermore, these quarterly meetings provide Company the opportunities to present environmental and safety performance as well as receive feedback from communities and address any concern they may have on the Power Plant Operation. The meetings have created a meaningful session of information disclosure from AES Mong Duong to local authorities and civil organization.
