Quang Ninh – Feb 2026 – As Vietnam prepares to welcome Tet – the Lunar New Year and the most significant traditional holiday of the year – communities across the country come together in the spirit of reunion, gratitude, and compassion. Tet is not only a time for family gatherings and new beginnings, but also a season that highlights the Vietnamese tradition of solidarity and mutual support, especially for those facing difficulties.
Embracing this meaningful spirit, AES Mong Duong organized a series of community support activities to bring warmth and practical assistance to local residents ahead of Tet 2026.
Voluntary Blood Donation – Sharing Life During Tet
Recognizing that blood shortages frequently occur during the Lunar New Year holiday due to increased medical demand and reduced donations, AES Mong Duong launched its voluntary blood donation program in February 2025, and this year marks its second year. The program aims to help alleviate pressure on local healthcare services during the festive season.
The initiative attracted the participation of 77 AES employees and contractors, reflecting a strong sense of responsibility and compassion within the company. Each unit of donated blood represents a life-saving gift and a meaningful act of care for patients in need during the holiday period.
Beyond its immediate medical impact, the program also promotes awareness of voluntary blood donation and encourages a culture of giving, reinforcing the message that sustained collective action can create long-term value for the community
Tet Gifts for Disadvantaged Families and Students
As part of its annual Tet outreach program, AES Mong Duong presented Tet gifts to 114 disadvantaged households and 410 underprivileged, orphaned, and disabled students in Mong Duong Ward and Hai Hoa Commune.
Maintained as a yearly tradition, this program provides essential support to vulnerable families and children, helping them celebrate Tet with greater warmth and security. More than material assistance, the gift-giving activities convey encouragement and care, ensuring that beneficiaries feel supported and connected during the festive season.
By sustaining this long-standing initiative, AES Mong Duong reaffirms its commitment to inclusive development and shared prosperity, striving to ensure that everyone can welcome the New Year with hope and dignity.
