AES Mong Duong’s electricity generation for the first half of 2020 has reached over 4.9 billion kilowatt hours (kWh), exceeding the target of 4.7 billion kWh set by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) for the period by five percent.
AES Mong Duong has been awarded the ISO 55001:2014 Certification by Bureau Veritas Certification Holding SAS – UK Branch for the asset management system of the 1,200 MW Mong Duong 2 BOT Thermal Power Plant in Quảng Ninh Province, Việt Nam. With this certificate, AES Mông Dương becomes one of the first companies in the country to be recognised for its effective asset management system.
In a virtual live broadcast of the AES Performance Excellence Summit 2020 (APEX 20) on Wednesday 25 June, AES Mong Duong’s ‘Optimization of Air Compressor System’ project was awarded the third prize in the Replication Category.
The international certification is expected to empower the company to boost its operational excellence by managing physical assets efficiently
On 23 June 2020, Mr. David Stone, CEO of AES Mong Duong, was elected member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD) for the 2020-2023 term. The council, which is chaired by Dr. Vu Tien Loc, Chairman of Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), has a mission to promote the best sustainable practices among the business communities in Vietnam.
