Sustainability journey – AES Mong Duong kickoff the 2016-2017 Sustainability Report Project

AES Mong Duong is dedicated to improving lives by providing safe, affordable and sustainable energy. One of the company’s commitments given this thrust is voluntary reporting on its sustainability performance every two years. This Sustainability Report discloses information on economic, environmental and social performance according to the Global Reporting Initiative Standards (GRI Standards), the most widely used sustainability reporting framework in the world.

Seven young members of affected households of Ash Pond 2 Project of Mong Duong 2 Power Plant received their completion certificates on Hydraulic Excavator Operation in May 2018 at graduation ceremony organized by Vinacomin Vocational School.

LIVELIHOOD RESTORATION PLAN brings brighter future to the local community

Livelihood Restoration Plan (LRP) of Mong Duong 2 BOT Power Plant was initiated since 2014 with the purpose to identify mitigation measures, develop applicable programs and monitoring processes that AES Mong Duong would implement to enable the restoration in living conditions/quality of life of all Ash Pond 2 affected people to pre-existing livelihood levels.

AES Mong Duong participated in the Executive Board Meeting of Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD)

Ms. Le My Hanh, Stakeholder Manager of AES Mong Duong Power Co. Ltd., joined the Executive Board Meeting of VBCSD which was held in Hanoi on April 9. The meeting was led by Mr. Vu Tien Loc, Chairman of Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCT) cum Co-Chairman of VBCSD with a participation of executive members of VBCSD, who are pioneers in sustainable development in Vietnam including Heineken, Bao Viet, AES Mong Duong, Unilever, Coca-Cola, Suntory-PepsiCo and many other members.
