ARLINGTON, Va., November 30, 2023 – The AES Corporation (NYSE: AES) announced it has reached an agreement with Se.ven Global Investments to sell its 51% equity stake in the Mong Duong 2 coal-fired plant in Vietnam.
AES Vietnam held its Values Day 2023 celebration on November 9, 2023, at the Mong Duong Secondary School in Cam Pha City, Quang Ninh Province.
AES Mong Duong Power Co. Ltd., the owner of Mong Duong 2 Thermal Power Plant, has been honored as one of the nation’s top representatives of taxpayers who have made great contributions to the State budget and society during the period from 2020 to 2022.
In June, with the theme ‘AES Go Green’, AES Mong Duong organized a series of activities to celebrate World Environment Day and promote environmental awareness among its employees, contractors and local communities.
Binh Thuan Province, 12 July 2023 – Son My LNG Terminal Project Company, a joint venture of AES and PetroVietnam Gas JSC (PV Gas), was granted the Investment Policy Approval for its Son My LNG Terminal project by Binh Thuan People’s Committee on 11 July.
