On 8 December, 2020, AES Mong Duong, a subsidiary of AES Vietnam, was honored to receive the 2020 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award from the American Chamber of Commerce in Hanoi (AmCham Hanoi) for its CSR efforts in general and specifically its initiatives to assist communities in Vietnam during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hanoi, 8 December, 2020. AES Mong Duong, a subsidiary of AES Vietnam, today announced the AES Future Energy Scholarship program for the new academic year in 2020-2021. The program is implemented in cooperation with the Center for Education Development (CED) to support talented students at three universities, including Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), Electric Power University (EPU) and Vietnam National University – University of Science (VNU-HUS).
With commercial operations planned to start in 2025, the terminal will play an important role in supporting Vietnam’s energy transition and economic growth
On 27 October 2020, AES Values Day 2020 was organized in a virtual format with the participation of all AES Mong Duong leaders and staffs. This year, with the theme ‘We Live Our Values’, the event honored the AES Values – ‘Safety First’, ‘Highest Standards’ and ‘All Together’ – which are the foundation for AES’ business around the world and in Vietnam.
Quang Ninh, 31 August 2020, a total of 170 disadvantaged students in Cam Pha city, Quang Ninh Province, were presented with scholarships worth VND1,000,000 each from AES Mong Duong Power Company to mark the new school year 2020-2021.
